Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of your Sportify account and associated personal data on sportifyplus.de. We honour GDPR and platform-partner requirements (including Facebook Login and Google Sign-In).
How to request deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and personal data using any of the following methods:
- Email — Send a deletion request from the email address linked to your account to privacy@sportifyplus.de.
- Contact form — Submit a message via our Contact.
- Profile settings — You can update or remove much of your profile content before requesting full account deletion in profile settings.
What we delete
When your deletion request is confirmed, we remove or anonymise the following data associated with your account, unless a legal exception applies:
- Account credentials, email, role, language preference and account settings.
- Player, club, scout or fan profile information, biography, stats, scouting notes and visibility settings.
- Uploaded highlights, talent shorts, thumbnails, video metadata and related engagement data.
- Direct messages, contact form submissions tied to your account and in-platform communications.
- Active FitPass, Only Talents and other subscription links to your account (billing history may be retained as described below).
- OAuth-linked identifiers and tokens from Google, Facebook or LinkedIn sign-in stored on Sportify.
- Search history, recommendations, likes, follows and other activity logs linked to your user ID.
Data we may retain
Some information may be kept after account deletion where we have a lawful reason, including:
- Records required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service.
- Payment and invoice records retained for accounting, tax and fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to the period required by applicable law).
- Security logs and abuse-prevention records for a limited period to protect the platform and other users.
- Aggregated or fully anonymised analytics that can no longer identify you.
Processing timeline
We aim to confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days and to complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or technical backup cycles. You will receive confirmation by email once deletion is complete.
Third-party sign-in data
If you signed in with a social provider, you may also remove Sportify's access from your provider account:
- Google — visit myaccount.google.com/permissions, select Sportify and remove access.
- Facebook — visit facebook.com/settings?tab=applications, remove Sportify, or use Facebook's "Send Request" flow for connected apps.
- LinkedIn — visit linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services, remove Sportify, or revoke access under Sign in with LinkedIn.
Removing access at the provider stops future sign-in but does not automatically delete data already stored on Sportify — please also submit a deletion request to us.
Facebook & Google app requirements
For app-store and OAuth partner compliance:
- Facebook Login — when you remove Sportify in Facebook settings, Meta may notify us via our configured data-deletion callback URL (https://sportifyplus.de/auth/facebook/data-deletion). We process those requests in line with this policy.
- Google Sign-In — use the steps above and email us if you need confirmation that Sportify-held Google-linked data has been deleted.
